Dare to follow your heart.
Dare to dream.

who we are

The De La Salle School choir currently has a strength of 65 Lasallians, ranging from 8 to 12 years of age. Apart from participating in the bi-annual Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Central Judging of Choirs (Primary Schools), where they achieved a silver award in 2008, the choir serves in school events such as the Primary One Orientation, Prize-giving concert, school mass and Cultural Night.

De La Salle choir also played a pivotal role in the successful run of the school’s annual year-end musicals – Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (2004), Sleeping Beauty’s Dream (2005), Holy Moses! (2006) and Annie Junior (2007).

In order to enrich and broaden their musical experiences, De La Salle choir also participates in cross-cultural competitions such as the Chinese Folk Song Singing and Inter-Racial Inter-Harmony competitions.

Not forgetting the local community, De La Salle choir performs at homes and various community events as part of their on-going community involvement programme. In 2007, the choir performed at the Ronald MacDonald Family Room Opening Ceremony and Grandparent's Day Gentle Walk. They also performed at the KidsFest Lunchtime Concert, a fringe event for the Singapore Arts Festival, and at the inaugural Great Eastern International Kids Performing Festival which was held in the Esplanade in 2008.

De La Salle choir currently performs a repertoire of choral works ranging from traditional hymns to Broadway numbers and aims to continue to nurture and sustain a lifelong passion for singing in every Lasallian.
